7th/8th & 9th November, 2010
We stayed at Coolangatta Kirra Beach Holiday Park.
Coolangatta has changed since our last (separate) visits in our teenage years, when along the beach were guest houses which supplied a bed and 3 meals a day, they also organised different outings and boat cruises.
Now they are all high rises. After our trip down memory lane we ended up in Evans Head.
10th & 11th November we stayed at Evans Head
Evans Head history started in 1917, an Italian immigrant came to Evans Head, he was a child aboard the ill-fated Marquis de Ray expedition.
Goanna Headland between Joggly Point and Snapper Rock was the subject of one of the first Aboriginal land claims.
11th/12th & 13th November we are staying at Nambucca White Albratross Park, a lovely park right on the water, which gives off the feeling of a great holiday place.
